TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Highway Still Shutdown Due To Wildfire

Glide, Ore. -You can tell by the pictures why the highway is closed east of Glide.

This afternoon ODOT sent out a special notice statewide to tell people to avoid the area.

OREGON DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION: SW Oregon: Oregon 138E (North Umpqua Highway) remains closed due to a wildfire six miles east of Glide. glilde fire with air tanker

Motorist on the east side will be advised of the closure near Diamond Lake at the intersection of Oregon 138 and 230. Commercial trucks will be turned around at the checkpoint.

There is no ETA to reopen the highway as emergency crews fight the fire. Use alternate routes.
