Roseburg Issues New Statement To Community About Show Of Support

getty_100215_umpqua

Roseburg, Ore. -The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is very grateful for the community support shown to the students and staff at Umpqua Community College. We understand that the community’s need to provide a positive environment for the UCC family is valuable and a part of the healing process.

DCSO is working with UCC security to ensure that supporters will have the ability to demonstrate their caring for the staff and students as they return to campus. To that end, we encourage anyone who wishes to turn out to do so while keeping in mind the need to maintain a safe travel route for drivers and pedestrians alike.

Furthermore, we encourage all citizens to be sensitive to the students’ needs as they return to classes.
