Pot growers need water for their crops… now the Deschutes County Commission is looking at how it regulates that water use.

Commissioners met with local and state water providers and experts to get a better handle on the situation.

The Bulletin reports the meeting was part of the commission’s overall review and possible revamp of marijuana rules.

The evaluation comes as the U-S Justice Department changes its approach to recreational pot under marijuana legalization critic Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
