Why is there an increased police presence at Bend High School?

With images of the Florida School shooting still fresh in the minds of many, a perceived threat is leading to an increased police presence at a Bend School.

KTVZ reports a Bend High School student reported hearing other kids at the school talking about possible violence today.

Police and school administrators investigated, but couldn’t determine who, if anyone at the school was discussing violence.

Still, as a precaution, there are additional officers at the school today.

Last week, there was an increased police presence at Summit High School after vandalism found in a restroom alluded to a possible threat.
