Controversial former FBI agent speaks at Deschutes GOP event

The Southern Poverty Law Center considers Guandolo an anti-Muslim extremist and the state Democratic Party and the Council on American-Islamic Relations called on local Republicans to cancel the speech.

But Bend businessman and gubernatorial candidate Sam Carpenter tells the Bulletin “The Islamic threat is real” and The County Republican Party vice Chair describes Guandolo as an expert on the threat of radical Islam.
