(NEW YORK) — Nestle USA is recalling 10,000 cartons of Haagen Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream because of a packaging error.
The company says the ice cream lids are labeled correctly, but the list of ingredients does not say the package contains peanuts, which could be a hazard for people who are allergic.
The recall affects 14-ounce cartons of ice cream with a best-by date of May 13, 2015.
The ice cream has reportedly been distributed in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
