The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 25.24 on Monday to finish at 16,826.60.

The Nasdaq closed at a 14-year high of 4,408.18, up 10.25 for the day, while the S&P 500, which ended Monday at 1,960.23, down 0.73, still finished up five percent for the quarter.

GM also unveiled their plan to compensate the victims of those faulty ignition switches, offering anyone involved in an accident caused by the problem compensation with no upper limit.
