LA PINE, OR — Starting next week, the DMV field office in La Pine will change their day of service from Tuesdays to Thursdays. Department of Transportation spokesman David House said they make changes like these to the 60 field offices statewide to address changing customer needs.
“Basically the La Pine office is staffed by two people from the Bend DMV on Tuesdays. But we’ve seen that in Bend the office is much busier on Tuesdays than it is on Thursdays. So overall it helps us re-distribute our customer service a little better if we move that La Pine staffing time to Thursdays.
House said starting Thursday, September 4th, the La Pine office’s new hours will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and closed from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch.
La Pine is not the only field office where changes are taking place. The Oakridge DMV will no longer offer drive tests starting early next month.
