BEND, OR — Classes at Central Oregon Community College may not start for another couple of weeks, but the area campuses remain busy. School officials continue to work on a host of construction projects on all four campuses, thanks to the voter approved 2009 bond measure.
Matt McCoy, Vice President of Administration, told KBNW News they go to great lengths deciding how to build or expand their offerings. He said that includes talking with each community.
“In deciding how and when and where we locate our facilities to complement not only their planning, for their growth in their community, but also complementing what the school districts are planning to offer through the K-12 district.”
COCC will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday for the new Redmond Technology Education Center. And work continues on the Residence Hall project in Bend and much more.
What construction projects does COCC have planned for the future? Join us Sunday morning for our entire conversation with Matt McCoy, during Inside Central Oregon. It all starts at 9 a.m. on FM NewsRadio 104.5 1340 KBNW.
