Bend, Ore. – The Center for Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research announces three new additions to the provider team, Allison LiaBraaten, FNP, Katie Cypcar, PA-C, and Timothy Curtis, PA-C. Each brings valuable skills and experience to the medical team and will help keep pace with the company’s continued regional growth.

Allison LiaBraaten, FNP, joined Dr. Michael Caravelli’s orthopedics team in August. She began her medical career providing care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California and then worked in the Emergency Department at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. She wanted to play a bigger role in her patient’s treatment and went on to graduate school at Washington State University to become a family nurse practitioner. Prior to joining The Center she performed high level acute care at St. Charles. Working in these facilities in different care settings Allison has developed a unique, high-level medical skill set.

Katie Cypcar, PA-C started working with the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation medical team on December 1. She received her masters degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to that, she worked in Mental Health for four years and as a Wilderness First Responder. She chose a career in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation because it enables her to partner with patients to prevent injury, control pain, enhance function and support improved quality of life.

Timothy Curtis, PA-C started working at The Center on December 1st, he will be working primarily with Dr. Joel Moore in orthopedics. He received his masters degree at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to moving to Central Oregon, he spent twelve years in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and has experience with almost every aspect of sprains, strains and fractures. He also served as a Diving Medical Technician and Physical Fitness Coordinator for Special Forces teams. He enjoys building relationships with his patients and helping them achieve their specific goals.

“The knowledge and expertise Allison, Katie and Tim bring to our medical team will be of great value to our patients,” said Mike Gonsalves, CEO at The Center. “This allows us to offer additional appointment times and continue to provide the highest level of expert musculoskeletal care for our patients.”
