Deschutes County DUII Numbers Released

Bend. Ore. – The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office participated in a statewide traffic safety campaign focusing on DUII enforcement during the 2014 holiday season. The campaign ran from December 12, 2014 through January 1, 2015 as previously reported. As part of the campaign, the sheriff’s office increased traffic patrols directly focusing on DUII related investigations.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office made 13 DUII arrests during this time period.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office along with the Oregon Department of Transportation encourages all drivers and passengers to make a conscious effort to use their seatbelt at all times while traveling in a motor vehicle regardless of the distance traveled. Furthermore, we encourage all drivers to drink responsibly. If drivers intend to drink, please plan ahead and use a designated driver, taxi service, or public transportation.
