(PHOENIX) — The Philadelphia Phillies signed free agent right-handed pitcher Aaron Harang to a one-year, $5 million contract, the team announced on Monday.
In 33 starts with the Atlanta Braves last season, the 36-year-old Harang went 12-12 with a 3.57 ERA. He tossed 200 innings for the fourth time in his career and finished ninth in the National League in innings pitched with 204 1-3.
“Aaaron brings a wealth of experience and durability to our rotation,” said Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. in a statement. “He had a very solid season for the Braves last year and will complement the left-handers in our rotation nicely.”
During his 13-year career, Harang has suited up for the Oakland Athletics, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, and Braves. In 358 regular season games, he has a record of 122-128 with a 4.21 ERA.
