As the officer caught up to the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Taelour, shut the lights off and made an abrupt eastbound turn accelerating to a high rate of speed onto NE Rosemary Dr. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle which slid through Atherton Ct., almost colliding with a tree. As the officer exited his vehicle to contact the driver, the vehicle backed up and took off north on Atherton Ct. crashing through the fenced egress gate to the St. Francis playground area.

The suspect vehicle collided with playground equipment before backing into the officer’s patrol car causing minor damage. Taelour was taken into custody without incident. Neither the officer nor Taelour were injured during the incident.

Taelour was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail on the listed charges.
