WATCH: Sky Divers Make Emergency Landing in Hail Storm

Ensup/iStock/Thinkstock(MELBOURNE, Australia) — A group of skydivers improbably survived after a sudden hail storm forced them to make emergency landings off an Australian beach on Wednesday.

Some of the 10 skydivers crash-landed off the coast of St. Kilda beach in Melbourne, Australia, according to Australian newspaper The Age.

The dramatic landings occurred during a hail and wind storm when the wind started to pick up according to The Age. Five of the 10 skydivers who landed had to be taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

While a few managed to make it to the landing point, others landed in the water or on the beach.

Dramatic video of the scene shows one skydiver appearing to tumble through the sky before he recovers and manages to splash down in the water. Two other skydivers are also forced to make hard landings as the storm winds push them off course.

Skydive the Beach owner Anthony Boucaut told The Age that the conditions had been safe when the parachuters jumped, but changed within minutes.

The Australian Parachute Federation is investigating the incident, according to The Age.
