ABC/Craig Sjodin(NEW YORK) — Jared Leto has undergone quite the transformation to prepare for his role as The Joker in an upcoming DC Comics film.
The Oscar winner has cut his hair short and shaved his beard for Suicide Squad. He documented his new look on Instagram Monday, first by posting a photo of someone holding a pair of scissors to his ponytail. He wrote, “I miss my beard already.”
Leto later shared a picture of himself with his new hairdo and a clean-shaven face. He wrote, “…#gone!”
Suicide Squad, which will also star Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Viola Davis, will see a number of DC’s signature supervillains come together for a secret government operation. The movie is scheduled to open Aug. 5, 2016.
