Redmond Police Search For Car Chase Suspect

Redmond, Ore. – Early this morning at 1:23 am, a Redmond Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of SW Deschutes Ave and SW Rimrock Way.

The vehicle was a green, 1995 Eagle Talon, Oregon license plate WND510. The vehicle refused to stop for the Officer and a chase ensued.

The suspect vehicle traveled east out of the city into the area of NE 17th Street and NE Negus Way, where it slid off the road and into a power pole guy wire (non-electric). The suspect fled the scene on foot. Members of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police, assisted in setting up a perimeter.

The suspect is described as being a white male, in his twenties, wearing a black sweatshirt, white t shirt, black hat and light colored jeans.

The Redmond Police Department has not been able to locate the owner of the suspect vehicle.
