Fire Destroys Trailer, Family Homeless Now

Prineville, Ore. – A Prineville area family was greatly impacted by an early morning fire today.

Crook County Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a travel trailer on fire at a trailer park 7 miles East of Prineville on Ochoco HWY at approximately 2 a.m.

Crews arrived to find that 7 children and 2 adults had safely exited the trailer. The fire was quickly extinguished.

The damage to the trailer displaced the family of 9 that lived there. The Red Cross responded to assist the displaced family.

The fire is under investigation.
