Obama Tweets Congrats to Chicago Blackhawks

Official White House Photo by Pete Souza(WASHINGTON) — President Obama took to Twitter to congratulate his Chicago Blackhawks on their Stanley Cup victory.

The Blackhawks won the 2015 Stanley Cup on Monday night, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 in their third win in six years.

“Congrats to my hometown @NHLBlackhawks on 3 titles in 6 years – we’ll see you and The Cup at the White House,” the President tweeted.

It’s the first time the Blackhawks have won the championship on home ice since 1938.
