(NEW YORK) — The final day of the NFL draft not only was made up of six more rounds, but there were also many trades, with goaltenders in high demand.
The Edmonton Oilers acquired Cam Talbot from the New York Rangers, who was the back-up goaltender for the team.
The Rangers then acquired goalie Antti Raanta from the Chicago Blackhawks.
Eddie Lack was traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Carolina Hurricanes, while the Anaheim Ducks got goalie Anton Khudobin from Carolina.
The Dallas Stars acquired the rights to the San Jose Sharks’ pending free agent Antti Niemi, while the Minnesota Wild resigned their top goalie Devan Dubnyk.
