Michael B. Jordan Explains How “Fantastic Four” Is Different

Fox(NEW YORK) — Michael B. Jordan is one of the stars of the latest adaption of Fantastic Four. The Fruitvale Station actor warned moviegoers to expect a more realistic onscreen approach to the classic Marvel tale.

“This is like an origin story, you know?” he said on Monday’s Live with Kelly and Michael. “The other films were cool and it was great. But we didn’t immediately just throw on suits and try to save the world. It was like what would really happen to these kids if they got into an accident and got these abilities. Like, what would really happen?”

Jordan portrays Johnny Storm, who gets the unique ability to transform into a human torch. In order to play the role, the actor had to film in a one-piece. “I tried not to drink any fluids before I get into the suit because you know it’s gonna be a while [before I get to use the restroom],” he explained.

Fantastic Four, also starring Kata Mara, Miles Teller and Jamie Bell, is in theaters Friday.
