Prineville Man Charged With Child Abuse

Prineville, Ore. – The Crook County Sheriff’s office is investigating a possible child abuse case. The sheriff’s office says a 3 month old infant was brought to the hospital on July 31st with suspicious injuries. The baby was later taken to St Charles in Bend with serious injuries.

The baby’s father, 20 year old Nicholas Brown of Prineville, was arrested and taken to the jail.

Brown faces charges of Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Third Degree.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Department of Human Services – Child Welfare and the Prineville Police Department.
