iStock/Thinkstock(TAIPEI, Taiwan) — Tapei was battered by a massive typhoon Saturday.

Blowing in overnight, Typhoon Soudelor hit the Taiwanese capital on Saturday with winds up to 100 miles per hour and lots of rain knocking out power for nearly 2 million people at one time.

More than 100 people were injured across the country and at least six were reported dead so far.

One family of five had to be rescued when floodwaters reached the second floor of their home.

Soudelor is now making its way over to China, leaving Taipei’s streets with downed trees and debris.
