(ISTANBUL) — Turkey has taken on its own so-called terror fight.
While the U.S.-led coalition continues its aerial attack on the Islamic State, Turkey is conducting airstrikes of its own.
Kurdish rebels are being targeted by Turkey, following recent attacks that left several people dead.
Military officials say Turkish warplanes conducted 17 airstrikes against the Kurdish group known as the PKK.
The strikes hit PKK targets in Turkey along the country’s shared border with Iraq and Iran.
