Transient Suspected Of Trying To Break Into Walgreens And Into Two Homes

Bend, Ore. – The Bend Police department says a Bend man awoke to another man standing over him in bed this morning shortly before 7.

The victim yelled at the suspect and asked him to leave the home, which he did. The man then hopped into the victim’s car and drove off.

Apparently the stranger had grabbed his car keys when he was inside the home.

Police arrested 43 year old David Latta, a transient and charged him with several alleged crimes. Latta is also suspected of breaking a window and trying to break into the Bend Walgreen’s store and another man’s house.
