Universal(LOS ANGELES) — Straight Outta Compton was the highest-grossing movie for the third weekend in a row, and now is the most successful music bio-pic of all-time.
According to Variety, the N.W.A. film registered $13.2 million at the U.S. box office last weekend, for a total of $134.1 million in domestic box office. It overtakes the 2005 Johnny Cash movie, Walk the Line, which earned $119.5 domestically.
Compton also is the first film to remain number one for three straight weeks since Jurassic World in June.

Ticket sales for Straight Outta Compton dropped 50 percent as the gross fell from $26.8 million the previous weekend.
