(NEW YORK) — As a way to ease the flow of migrants into Europe, leaders of the EU have pledged an additional one billion euros to help United Nations agencies assisting Syrians, says the BBC.
The pledge comes just a day after EU leaders approved a plan to relocate 120,000 migrants who are currently in Italy, Hungary and Greece. The plan will move migrants to other nations in the union.
Leaders in the EU also agreed on tightening and strengthening European Union borders, though some nations in the union continue to oppose any plans.
