Don Johnson Says He Plays a 'Deliciously Diabolical' Oil Tycoon on “Blood & Oil”

ABC(NEW YORK) — Miami Vice star Don Johnson is returning to the small screen in a new drama, Blood & Oil, centered on a billion-dollar oil company, located in the Bakken region of North Dakota.

“I play the oil tycoon. I am deliciously diabolical,” the actor said about his character, Hap Briggs, on Friday’s Live with Kelly and Michael.

“My character is like a riverboat gambler. He goes out there and he’s hit it big and he’s hit it really big,” Johnson continued. “He’s using his power and his money and he controls this whole town and nothing moves without him knowing it. And there’s all these secrets and relationships and…I’m not gonna give it away.”

Find out what Johnson’s Hap will do to remain on top when Blood & Oil, also starring Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford, premieres on ABC Sunday at 9 p.m. Eastern.
