Details On Morning Crash Near La Pine

La Pine, Ore. – This morning at about 4:40 a.m., OSP Troopers, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputies and other emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on US 97 at State Recreation Road, milepost 160, north of La Pine.

51 year old David Lee Hendricks of Idaho was going northbount when a pick up driven by 32 year old Richard Dureke Moller Jr. of Roseburg crossed the center line and into the path of a Peterbilt semi-truck.

Moller and his passenger 46 year old William Henry Liles of Bend were transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend and treated for non-life threatening injuries resulting from the crash.

The roadway was partially blocked for about 2 hours while emergency crews rendered first-aid and investigated the collision.
