Fatal Forklift Accident In Prineville

Prineville, Ore. – A 70 year old man from Prineville died in a forklift accident yesterday.

Shortly before 5 p.m. the Crook County Sheriff’s Office, Prineville Police Department, and Crook County Fire and Rescue responded to the address of 2490 NW Lamonta Road to the report of a forklift accident.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office says it was determined that the forklift was not working at the time of the incident but the male had been working to repair the forks when they fell and pinned him. He had been working alone and pinned for several hours before being located.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification of the death.
