The North Face Founder Dies in Kayak Accident

DANIEL GARCIA/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) —   The founder of The North Face and Esprit, Douglas Tompkins, has died, reports the BBC.

The 72-year-old clothing billionaire died of hypothermia in a kayaking accident in southern Chile.

The accident occurred when the kayaks, he and five other people were in, capsized, says BBC News.
