Severe Weather Continues

Central Oregon – Severe weather continues to hit Central Oregon. Yesterday’s wind storm blew down trees, knocked out power, and triggered a snow slide on Santiam Pass. The roads are treacherous, particularly in south Deschutes County.

This morning ODOT reports All highways in Central and Eastern Oregon are now open and free flowing….but Winter weather conditions persist in Central and Eastern Oregon.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office reports a 63 year old Prineville man was hurt after rolling his Ford F250 on SE Juniper Canyon Road, near Milepost 5 last night.

Robin Taylor was still seated in the drivers seat wearing his seatbelt when emergency crews arrived, shortly after 5pm.

He had been southoubound on the highway when he lost control because of icy roads. The truck rolled and came to rest on its side.

He was sent to the hospital with non life threatening injuries and no citations were issued.
