“The Lost Boys” Actor Dies

Brooke McCarter, far left; Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Brooke McCarter, best known for his role as the vampire Paul in the 1987 comedy-thriller The Lost Boys, died Tuesday at the age of 52.

His family made the announcement on Facebook, explaining that the actor died from a genetic liver condition. 

McCarter’s other acting credits include appearances in the TV shows The Twilight Zone and Route 66. His film credits include the John Belushi biopic Wired.

McCartner left Hollywood in 1998 to pursue a career in the telecommunications industry, according to his website.
