City Club of Bend Makes Changes For 2016

Bend, Ore. – City Club of Bend is growing and moving to the Riverhouse Convention Center in 2016. Capacity at the St. Charles Health and Wellness Center, where they have held our forums since 2007,  is 224 occupants, which reached capacity a number of times this past year.

“To accommodate the increased number of registration requests, we were inspired to find a larger venue,” according to an e-blast. “The convention center at the Riverhouse has the capacity, staff and technology to provide a professional level of service. The new space will provide forums with a spacious environment, ample parking and a more comfortable ambiance.”

Other changes include:
  • Lunches will be plated. Vegetarian and gluten free selections will be available to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please make your selection during the forum registration process.
  • Forums will continue to be held the third Thursday of each month. However, since the Riverhouse books events up to a year in advance, they already have an event scheduled during the time of our April forum. The date for our April forum will be Monday, April 18, 2016.
  • To cover the increase in costs of our forums, we will be increasing the forum registration fees. Member price will be $25 and non-member price will be $40. Our annual membership fees remain the same as they’ve been, so the only increase is to the lunch fees. If you are not currently a City Club member, you can become one and save money on our website.
  • Forum registration closes at noon on the Monday before each forum. Due to the plated lunch format, we will no longer be able to accept registrations past that time.
