(BOSTON) — University of North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams collapsed during the game against Boston College on Tuesday.
The 65-year-old, who has coached the Tar Heels since 2003, fell on the sidelines during the first media timeout of the second half.
A tweet from Carolina Basketball said the collapse was “due to dizziness” and “vertigo-related.”
Steve Kirschner, spokesman for UNC Athletic Department, said Williams “has a history of veritgo and occasionally it will flare up if he makes a sudden movement…”
Roy Williams’ collapse due to dizziness earlier this half was vertigo-related.
