McLane: Potential Storm Clouds in State Revenue Forecast

Salem, Ore. – House Republican Leader Mike McLane (R-Powell Butte) issued the following statement regarding today’s revenue forecast:

“Today’s forecast shows that while our state’s economy continues to perform at a healthy rate, there are potential storm clouds on the horizon. Warning signs are beginning to appear in our manufacturing industry, downturns in the stock market have the potential to hurt our economy, and the volatility of international trade continues to threaten Oregon’s export-dependent producers.

“For the moment, the sun is still shining in Oregon. Now it’s up to the Democrats in the Legislature to decide if they are going to put our long-term economic health at risk through the reckless pursuit of a partisan agenda and fundamentally flawed policies.”
