(LOS ANGELES) — The gray carpet was rolled out in Hollywood Sunday for the premiere of the sixth season of the HBO hit Game of Thrones.
The big question on most fans’ minds is, “Is Jon Snow alive?” HBO said in a recent press release that he’s not, and the actor who played him, Kit Harington, was absent from the premiere. That disappointed actress Amanda Peet, who’s married to Game of Thrones co-creator David Benioff.
“It just felt like it was a good sign if he was going to be here, and he’s not here, so I’m trying to keep it together,” she told ABC Radio.
Though Snow may be missing from the new season, which begins April 24, there’s a lot to look forward to, according to Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth.
“There’s big surprises in episode one, I s*** you not,” he revealed.
Whatever surprises may be in store for fans in the season premiere and beyond, Dean-Charles Chapman, a.k.a. Tommen Baratheon, has already spilled the beans to someone very close to him.
“The only person that does know, other than me, is my mom. Don’t tell HBO, because I’ll be sacked,” he joked.
And what about the Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen? She shared, “We left her in a tight spot but she’s kind of a bada** so you never need to really worry.”
