(NEW YORK) — Denzel Washington and Viola Davis both starred in a Broadway revival of the play Fences a few years ago. Now they’ll team up for a movie adaptation, Variety reports.
Washington will also direct the project. The August Wilson play examines race relations and focuses on a sanitation worker who dreamed of playing in the major leagues.
Both Washington and Davis won a Tony Award for their roles in the 2010 Broadway revival.
