ABC/ Ida Mae Astute(NEW YORK) — A former butler to Donald Trump caused a stir with a post to his Facebook page that expressed hatred for President Barack Obama and saying the commander in chief should be killed.

Anthony Senecal, who worked as Trump’s butler for years before being named the in-house historian at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, posted saying that Obama “should have been taken out by our military and shot as an enemy agent in his first term.” The post was uncovered by Mother Jones and can only be seen by Senecal’s Facebook friends.

“Instead he still remains in office doing every thing he can to gut the America we all know and love,” Senecal continued. “Now comes Donald J Trump to put an end to the corruption in government.”

The U.S. Secret Service said in a statement that it was aware of the matter, and would conduct an investigation. Trump’s campaign disavowed Senecal’s comments, noting that he “has not worked at Mar-a-Lago for years.”

When contacted by ABC News, Senecal said that he and Trump “never discussed politics,” and that he “doesn’t know if Trump shared his opinions about President Obama.”

According to Mother Jones, the 84-year-old Senecal regularly posts rants on his Facebook page decrying Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats.
