Power Outage – 2,500 Briefly Lose Power in Bend

Bend, ore. – Pacific Power confirmed that 2,500 people in Bend lost power around 4 p.m. Sunday, however, electricity was restored very quickly.

The surge also caused power to shut off for thousands of residents all around the city momentarily.

Areas mostly affected were Awbrey Glen, Awbrey Meadows, River West near downtown Bend, and an area near COCC also on the west side.

The company said the brief outage is under investigation.
