Redmond, Ore. – Redmond Proficiency Academy, Central Oregon’s premier learning academy, which focuses on providing students a proficiency-based education in a personalized learning environment, announced today that enrollment for the 2017-18 school year opens on March 1st and is scheduled to close at 5:00 p.m. on March 15th. Any new student interested in attending this tuition-free public charter school should apply online at rpacademy.org.
“We are excited to welcome new students to RPA,” said Executive Director Jon Bullock. “Our Open Enrollment period allows interested students and families to apply for admission to RPA for the upcoming school year.”
Applications for enrollment are being accepted for students entering grades six through 12, and there are currently openings in all grade levels.
Students and parents interested in learning more about RPA are invited to attend our Experience RPA! preview night on Tuesday, March 7th on both campuses from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Middle school – 150 SW 25th Avenue & High school – 657 SW Glacier Avenue, Redmond).

Come see why we’ve grown from 150 students to 840 students in eight years, and why we might be the right choice for you.”
RPA offers multiple pathways for success, and students can choose from over fifty elective offerings, including robotics, theatre, digital filmmaking, computer science, performance choirs, rock band, and fifteen college courses, as well as 16 AP courses. RPA is now one of only two schools in the state to offer the College Board’s new AP Capstone program and diploma.
Drawing students from over thirty-five schools and home schools in ten Central Oregon cities, including Bend, Sisters, and Prineville, RPA has a diverse and creative atmosphere focused on exploration and success. RPA features a college preparatory program that utilizes a university model scheduling system in which students take advanced courses and learn to be effective university students, as they learn in seminar environments that emulate life on a college campus.
