Central Oregon – Tuesday, May 9, is the last day recommended by the United States Postal Services to mail ballots back for the special May Election. Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16.
Voters will determine Administrative School District No 1: Bonds for New Schools, Safety Improvements, Classroom Renovations and Preservation.
Bend-La Pine Schools has a draft timeline of when construction projects would take place from summer 2017 to summer 2018, if voters were to pass the $268.3 million school bond May 16.
The capital construction bond would pay for a new elementary school, a high school and 159 projects the district considers priorities.
