ABC/Eric McCandless(LOS ANGELES) — Josh Gad and Lupita Nyong’o are set to show a funny and romantic side to the zombie apocalypse.

According to Variety, the two actors are set to star opposite Alien: Covenant‘s Alexander England  in the zombie comedy Little Monsters.

The film follows a mediocre musician named Dave and and a popular kids show personality named Teddy McGiggle. While on a field trip, the two vie for the affections of Miss Caroline, a local school teacher. However, drama ensues when a zombie outbreak occurs.

Oscar winner Nyong’o will play Miss Caroline, while England will be Dave, and Gad will play the over-the-top Teddy McGiggle.

Nyong’o will next be seen reprising her motion-capture role as Maz Kanata this December in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Next year, she’ll star alongside Chadwick Boseman in the highly anticipated Black Panther.

Gad will be seen onscreen next November 10, in the reboot of Murder on the Orient Express.

Production of Little Monsters is currently underway in Sydney.
