iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — While “billions and billions” have been served at McDonalds, scientists have discovered a new reason to love the fries from Mickey D’s: they can cure baldness. Reportedly.
Specifically, an additive used to prevent the fryer oil from getting foamy has been found to sprout hairs on otherwise bald mice, according to a Japanese study reported by Los Angeles ABC News affiliate KGO-TV.
McDonald’s hasn’t commented on the study publicly. However, the researchers say the additive enabled them to mass produce “hair follicle germs” that might someday be used to seed human skin to grow hair.
