A local candidate in a State House race could face felony charges regarding her claims in the official state Voters Pamphlet.
The Bulletin reports Working Families Party candidate Amanda La Bell’s information in the pamphlet says she earned a bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University in Georgia.
She now says she started college there, but didn’t finish.
The Bulletin reports the University has no record of La Bell ever attending the school.
Making false statements in the voter’s guide is a felony.
Many Democrats were supporting La Bell instead of Democratic nominee Nathan Boddie.
Boddie, a current city councilor, is accused of sexual harassment.
