JUST IN: Franklin Avenue lane closure Wednesday morning

road-closed

In partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), the City will be closing one lane of travel on Franklin Avenue for a few hours, starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning (tomorrow). One lane of traffic will remain open with flaggers but delays and congestion are expected. Use alternate routes if possible.

The pedestrian paths on both sides of the road will remain open.

The closure is required to patch up damage resulting from an excavator hitting the Franklin underpass on November 21. That incident created some holes that expose the structure to the elements. ODOT will make temporary protections until the permanent repairs can be made in warmer weather.
