Vehicle hits building in La Pine

La Pine Rural Fire Protection District firefighters responded Monday Morning,  June 15th, at 8:06 am, to the Cut N Up Barber Shop at 51480 Huntington Road for a report of a more vehicle hitting a building.

Firefighters arrived to find that a mid-size pickup truck had jumped the curb and crashed into the Cut N Up building also hitting a fuel oil tank and pushing it partially into the structure. No injuries were reported. The shop was not open at the time of the crash. Sheriff Office Deputies are investigating the circumstances that caused the crash. Firefighters were able shut the fuel lines running from the tank to the structures heating system and monitor for flammable vapors. Heating contractor and heating oil vendor arrived on scene to off pump the remaining heating oil and remove the fuel tank.

Annual Rhubarb Festival

This event started in La Pine at L & S Gardens. Upon the retirement of Linda she graciously passed the event on to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  Each year the community, gathers with everything Rhubarb.
