Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes as road work begins on Highway 20, east of Sweet Home. According to ODOT: Paving on U.S. 20 from milepost 46 to 52, about 20 miles east of Sweet Home started Friday.
Work Hours and Schedule
Crews are working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. They anticipate completing work on September 2.
Schedules may change, but crews will be working at the bridge deck and grinding at the beginning and ending of the paving limits during the first week. Afterwards, they will pave, put down shoulder rock and then add new permanent striping.
Plan Ahead
Expect single lane closures with flaggers helping direct two way traffic through the work zone. Traveler can expect up to 20 minute delays—so consider using an alternative route.
