Redmond Neighbor Arrested For Selling Meth

A Redmond man was arrested for commercial meth distribution after neighborhood complaints. Roy Allen Borden, Jr., 51, was jailed after an investigation into the importation and distribution of controlled substances from a home on the 100 block of SW 35th St in Redmond. According to a news release from Central Oregon Code Enforcement (CODE):

Redmond Police Officers and CODE Detectives initiated an investigation after area residents began reporting suspicious activities at the home. As a result, CODE Detectives began surveillance of the home and Mr. Borden. The investigation determined large quantities of controlled substances were being sold from the home.

On August 19, 2021, Mr. Borden was contacted during a traffic stop in Redmond, and detectives seized commercial quantities of methamphetamine, a large amount of US currency, and a switchblade knife.

Borden was lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Jail and charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Parole Violation.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated.
