Bend Parkway Reopens After Two Car Crash

A two car crash on the Bend Parkway sent two young children to the hospital and closed the Parkway for several hours Wednesday. According to Bend Police, shortly after 8:30 a.m., multiple callers reported a serious motor vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of the Bend Parkway, just north of the Revere Ave exit.

There were two vehicles involved, including one with two young children who were both injured and transported to St. Charles Bend.  The drivers of both vehicles were also being treated at the hospital.

Southbound lanes of the Bend Parkway were closed for several hours between Empire Ave and the southbound on-ramp at Revere Ave.

The Bend Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team was activated. The Bend Police Department was also assisted by members from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon State Police, Bend Fire & Rescue and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Anyone who witnessed this motor vehicle crash is encouraged to call non-emergency , 541-693–6911, and request to speak with the Crash Reconstruction Team.

At this time no other information is being released as a Crash Reconstruction Team works to determine the factors and cause of this injury crash. Additional details are expected to be released as they become available.

Annual Rhubarb Festival

This event started in La Pine at L & S Gardens. Upon the retirement of Linda she graciously passed the event on to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  Each year the community, gathers with everything Rhubarb.
