Celebrate the St. Patty’s day weekend in true Central Oregonian style – with fitness, beer, live music, and more! After a four-year hiatus, the Mt Bachelor Rotary Club has partnered with Cascade Relays Foundation to bring this festive event back, better than ever. This family-friendly fun run now takes place in the beautiful Old Mill District of Bend along the scenic Deschutes River Trail, and has something for everyone with options of chip timed 5K and 10K, as well as the non-timed 1.3-mile option. This event will take place on March 18, 12 – 3 pm.
Gather the family rain or shine to walk, jog, crawl, or run, and be sure to wear your green as there will be prizes for best costume and best wearin’ o the green! Cross through the finish line arch to celebrate your victory at the Miller Lumber Post-Dash Bash. The party is open to the public and will include the Kobold Brewing Beer Garden featuring green beer and Irish stout, local food vendors, bagpipers, Brimhall Academy of Irish Dancers, and live string band The Jackals.
Our musical headliner’s are a progressive bluegrass band and collective of musicians from all around the PNW. Featuring Portland-based National Fiddle Champion, Luke Price, and mandolin maestro Josiah Payne plus local bass man, Mark Karwan. This group will also feature lots of incredible special guest performers who you may recognize. Pushing the boundaries of bluegrass and Americana, this group is sure to get you moving.
Proceeds from St. Patrick’s Day Dash benefit NeighborImpact. Whether preparing children for kindergarten, distributing over 6 million pounds of food, or supporting a young couple purchasing their first home, NeighborImpact helps meet the needs of more than 55,000 households each year right here in Central Oregon.
